Overview

Guide Pro ("Guide Pro", "we", "us", or "our") provides Fishing Guide Pro and related Guide Pro applications and websites (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains the personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies whenever you use the Services.

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Updates to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the Services. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.

Personal information we collect

Information you provide. When you create an account using Sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address. If you choose to hide your email, Apple provides a private relay address, and that is what we store. We also collect any information you choose to send us, such as support requests.

Information we collect automatically. When you use the Services, we collect technical and usage information such as your device type, operating system, app version, settings, a record of which Guide Pro apps you have opened, and diagnostic or crash data.

Information from third parties. We receive limited account information from Apple when you sign in, in accordance with your Apple settings.

How we use personal information

Provide and operate the Services, including authenticating you, delivering guidance on the water, and managing each app you use.

Communicate with you, including sending account and service messages such as a welcome email and responding to your requests.

Maintain, secure, and improve the Services, including troubleshooting, analytics, and developing new features.

Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not collect precise background location.

How we share personal information

Service providers. We share personal information with vendors that process it on our behalf and under contract, including Supabase (hosting, authentication, and database), Apple (Sign in with Apple), and Resend (transactional email).

Billing providers. If we introduce paid subscriptions, we will use Apple and a payment processor (for example, Stripe via RevenueCat) to handle purchases, and we will update this policy beforehand.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or Guide Pro.

Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Your privacy choices and rights

Delete your account. You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from Settings. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Access and update. You can review and update your basic account information within the Services.

Communications. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.

Additional rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@useguidepro.com. We will respond as required by applicable law.

Retention of personal information

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. When you delete your account, we remove your account record and associated data. Limited information may persist in secure backups or where retention is required by law, and is removed on a rolling basis.

International transfers

We operate from Canada and work with service providers that may store or process personal information in other countries, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place for these transfers.

Children's privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. Your sign-in session is held in encrypted device storage, and database access is restricted by row level security so that you can access only your own data. No system is completely secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.
